THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD.
ON EXHIBITION TO-DAY. This famous picture, by Holnian Hunt, arrived in New Plymouth this morning, and •will be on view in the Town Hall to-day. The subject symbolises the beautiful and expressive words "Behold I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear My voice and open the door, I will enrne unto hiui, and will sup with him, and he with Me." The owner of the picture is Mr Chas. Booth, an English millionaire, and connoisseur of art, who is desirous that people here should see this wonderful and famous work. All he asks is that people will go Had see this picture, and he pays all expenses. The picture has already been minutely described in our columns, and is certain to attract all who can possibly find time to visit the Town Hall to-day.
