Eubelik, the violinist, and his family, left Frisco a week ago. Colliers' theatricals, en route for Australia, are safe. They have not yet sailed. The Pollard Opera-Company and the Nellie Stewart Company are safe. The latter left San Francisco prior to tho disaster. Cannon were used to assist the dynamiters to destroy Van Ness Avenue in order to check the flames. Tlie Hamburg-American Steamship
Co. cabled a gift of live thousand sterling, but President Koosevelt declined with, warm thanks, the Cabinet deciding that foreign assistance is not needed in view of the bountiful spouse by Americans.
