"THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD."
TO BE EXHIBITED AT NEW PLYMOUTH. All lovers of art, of the noble and tho divine, will learn wLh pleasure that Mr C. Mack Jost has been induced to exhibit Holman Booths famous picture, "The Light of the World," a pen picture of which appeared in our columns on Thursday. Acting on the suggestion thrown out by us, and correspondents, His Worship the Mayor immediately interested himself in the matter, to such good purpose that he yesterday received intimation from Mr Jost that ho would exhibit tho picture in New Plymouth on Tuesday. Tho Mayor has given instructions to havo the Town Hall prepared, and the picturo will be hung in the Council room on Tuesday morning aftor the arrival of the steamer from Auckland. The picture will be on exhibition all day Tuosday, and no doubt tho opportunity of viewing the world-famed work will be eagerly taken advantage of by the population of this town. Further particulars will be given on Monday.
