PEE PSBBS ASSOCIATION. i Cheistchitbch, April 20. j At the Labor Conference to-day ' motions was adopted that the poll tax on •Chinese should be increased to £IOOO, and that the Conference, through the Executive, take into consideration the question of nuited action ii «onnectura with the selection of the "Workers' representative on the ArbitratipfcCourt. /A motion was proposed that the tariff be revised this season, so ■as to give a greater encouragement to all natural industries, and inter alia that a prohibitive duty shall be placed on all imported manufactured parts lUsed in tho book binding industry, on i&U imported buggies, and ou all foreign built vessels sold in New Zea land. Discussion was interrupted by the adjournment of the Conference til do-morrow morning.
