INFECTIOUS DISEASES HOSPITAL.
PEli i'HUSS ASSOCIATION. Dukbdis, April 19. At tho Hospital Aid and Hospital Board meeting, the ehai'man said now that tho female refuge was to be used as a Maternity home, something would have to be done in the matter of an infectious diseases hospital. The only site available, which Dr Mason would approve of, was some land belonging to the Defence Department and the Premier, as Defenco Minister, would not part with this. Dr Batchelor said the position was a serious one. There were scarlet fever eases all around, and an epidemic might break out. It was finally resolved to telegraph to the Premier and the Health Oflicer on the matter and ask for the co-operation of city and suburban members.
