SITUATION LESS SATISFACTORY. OWING TO COMPLICITY OF .f DISLOYAL CHIEFS. Received 18,10.42 p.m. PIETEBUABITZBUBO, April 18. Bambaata is still hiding in the forest at Nkandhla. Owing to the Zulu chiefs, Signandi and Nndubi, refusing to co-operate in Bambaata's capture, the Government states the situation is less satisfactory and are mobilising further militia. Colonel Mansel moved hit force to Nkandhla and Dinizulu. He waned Signandi that ho would be held responsible for Bambaata's capture, since he allowed Mm to cuter the forest.
SPECIAL VOLUNTEER CORPS MOBILISING. ANOTHER TRIBE JOINS THE REBELS. Received 19, 12.7 p.m. PIETBBHABITZBUHG, April 18. ' The Natal Government asks volunteers fdr a special corps for active service" in Zululand under Colonel Royston. It is reported at Eshowe that Signandi's tribe has joined Bambaata. The Militaray authorities have requested the Government to send troops to Zululand.
