MR R. T. KNOWLES-A CELE. BRATED ENTERTAINER.
Mr It. G. Kuowlos, tho gifted humorist, is said to preserve just those Rifts of wit uiid humor which Mr Crosland insists on denying to the Irisli. Long siqco acknowledged a prince of conwdians, his career is witliout parallcl ou the stage to-day. Deserting the world of vaudeville for that of monologue entertainer, at one bouud he lias placed himself in a line with the greatest entertainers extant, ami in Eng. land, and recently in South .Vl'rica. attraded enormous business. The AVcllington " Times " says of him : " Mr Knowles engages his audience in a humorous conversation on various subjeets, and during his 'conversation,' if the audience are not iu parovysms of laughter, the celebrated li.t'i. is n«t to bhuic. Mr Knowles is essentially famous lor his original witticisms anil quaint conceits." During the entertainment he will introduce some of the songs and dances for which he is fainous. Mrs It. G. Knowles, a delightful banjo performer, will assist, and to create an atmosphere of realism, special biograph pictures will be shown of various places Mr Knowles describes, lhe entire tour is under the direction of Mr J.
