FEB PBKBB ASSOCIATION. Invebcaroill, April 14. The Axemen's Carnival began today in perfect weather. The finals of most of the events have yet to be contested. The maiden chop, 18 inch logs, was won by J. A. Healey, who seemed likely to show well in bigger events. Time, 2.23 2-6. In the standing block chop, C. O'Bourke, scr., qualified-Hfejiis heat, which was won by Healey Waldron and Lane won the Maiden Sawing,' 1 18 inch, in 15 seosT The final of the Sawing Handioap resulted: O'Rourke and Kelly (Ssecs.), Ghisliolm Bros, (scr.), Carson and Macintosh 3. Won by 2secs. (3kisholmtVlJaw began to run out and lost them first place. Time, 22 3-5 sees.
