NEW TURBINE STEAMER.

PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION Wemington, April 12. Mr James Mills, managing director of the Union S.S. Company, was entertained at luncheon to-day by tho Institute of Marine Engineers, 'on the eve of his departure for England. The Premier was in the chair, and there was a large attendance of business and professional men. In replying to the toast of his health, Mr Mills said part of his mission to the Old Country was to arrange for the building of new steamers. One would be a turbine steamer, to run between Wellington i and Lyttclton. This steamer, whioh would be of about three thousand tons and have a working speed of eighteen kuots, would replace the Rotomahana.
