The dog fiend again ! A valuable cattle dog wns poisoned near Mr A. Ainbury's, in Devon streot wost, on Thursday morning/ Messrs E. .1. Crrthew and Co. report having sold Mr Fiehohis' fine farm, of 13.11 acres, to Mr W. S. Knuckey, of Awakiuo. In another column, Messrs E. J. Carthcw and Co. advertise a choiae 50 aero bargain on account of an absentee owner. The public ball in aidof the Western Park funds, to be held in the Theatre Royal on Easter Monday night, will probably bo largely attended, especially as it is the firs', of the season. Ticket's have been sold m large numbers, and are still selling well. People arc coming forward liberally with contributions and Ihe supper promises to be an unexampled success. The music will be given by a first-class orchestra.
