SHERIDAN'S MUSICAL COMPANY.
THE EAIIL AND THE GIKL. j At Hawera on Monday night there was a huge and delighted audience to witness the musical comedy " The Earl and the Girl " by the Sheridan Company. The "Star " reports that the dressing of the whole company was on a gorgeous snule, and the ballet dancing was perfectly dean and clever. The principals were supported by a large and capable caste, as mauy as 'il artists being on the stage at one time. The comedy has a very ingenious plot, anil is crowded with " situations," and in every respect the entertainment was delightful. The comedy, which may more accurately be described as an extravaganza, contains a number of spirited concerted pieces, and there are several good solos, notably "The Sporting Girl," "Shopping,"" I haven't a moment lo spare," " A Bit of Blarney," and " Roses." It is understood that the booking for to-night's perfornflknee at the Theatre Royal is good, aud there will no doubj. be a full house to greet the raising of the curtain.
