That Wairarapa is prospering exceedingly is demonstrated by the nourishing state of business in the towns, and notably Masterton, which is fast assuming the appearance of a city. Land is still procurable throughout the district at very reasonable rates, the best limestone pastoral country ranging £1 to £l2 per acre. Dairy farms of tho highest quality sell from £l2 to £22. One of tho leading land agents at Masterton,- Mr Eli Smith, who has had 21 years practical experience as a farmer and land agent, advertises in this issue some line properties in that district, and inquirers after land in any of the southern portions of the Island would bo well advised to put themselves into communication with him.
