FATAL BOILER EXPLOSION.

THREE MEN BUCCOMBE. rrn j'imss association. Omuocni, April 5. By a boiler explosion at Kuraara Junction sawmill this morning, a ■n in nuujd \\i[[ was killed, and tliree others, Li-iompte, Wijjn, and Body, injured. Details show that the man killed was named Bull, a married man, with a wife and six children. He was killed instantinoously, and Lecompte, another employee, was very seriously injured, and isinot expocted to live. A young brother of Mr Wilson, the proprietor of the mill had his leg broken in two places and internal injuries. Batey, the engine-driver, was also injured. Later, Lecompte died on his way to the hospital. Ernest Wilson's case is serious, but Batey is expected to recover, An inquest opens to-night, but adjourns to await the arrival of the Government Inspoctor of machinery. Latest. The news of the fatal boiler explosion at Wilson & Co.'s mill, at Kumara Junction, cast quite a gloom over the town, the unfortunate man being well known here. Word was received at nine o'clock to-night that Wilson hid succumbed to his injuries, and the lad Batty was in a critical condition. Zieglcr, who escaped with slight injuries, arrived in town this afternoon. He cannot account for the aecident.
