Sydxky, April 6. News has reached Sydney that tho British India steamer Fultala, from Calcutta to Suva, with a shipload of coolies, has put into Singapore, owing to an outbreak of cholera. Four coolies ha.ve died and eight havo been placed in hospital at Singapore. The Futala resumes her voyago when the disease. is stamped out, The secretary of the Northern Colliery Proprietors explains that tho increased price of coal will not entitle the miners to au increased hewing rate. If the price is increased to 10s, beginning next year, the miners will then bo entitled to an advance of 4d.
