Received 6,12.28 a.m. Sydskt, April 5. Mr Carruthers was chosen president. ' The Press are excluded, and Mr Carruthers supplies a daily summary 'of business, done. The conference lasts a week. Some uncertainty exists as to whether Mr Seddon intends to come. No information has been received since his reply to the invitation when he promised, to attend if possible.
