CHAMBERS OFTOMMEBCE - PROPOSALS. Received 4,11.3U p.m. • ' Pebth, April i. - The annual meeting of the Council of the Chambers of Commerce in. Australia, decided to invite the Chamber of Commerce of the Empire to hold theiiext conference, after the one to be held in London in July, at Sydney'. It was resolved to urge on the Federal authorities the necessity of protection for shipping along the northeastern coast, from possible attack by an enemy, or in the alternative, connecting all Queensland railways with Brisbane.
