PROSPECTING IN THE UREWERA.
PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. Auckland, March 31. The Hon. Jas. Carroll, who arrived in Auckland'to-night, after a visit to the Urcwera country, has made arrangements with the chiefs in that district whereby prospecting for gold will be permitted in future, subject to certain conditions, which will be drafted on Mr Carroll's return to Wellington.
