A BOON TO DAIRYMEN
A bail has been indented by a Taranaki firm, which is far iu advance of any oilier contrivance for securing cows while being milked. It is operated from the back of the cow, and she can be bailed up or released with the greatest ease by even the smallest milker. Dairymen will find these bails are not only great time-savers, but are reliable, easy to fix, and never get out of repair; in fact, ean be fixed with I little alteration in any shed in which j old bails are at present in use. The articles supplied are: —2 screw pulleys, 14ft of cord and ring, 1 iron bail; and the cost is only a few shillings. Messrs ] Eobertson and Bond, of Liardet-street, New Plymouth, are the patentees and vendors. An illustrated leaflet, and all estimates or particulars, will be provided to enquirers free. The folio ving letter just received speaks volumes : —Messrs. ltobertson and Bond, New Plymouth. Dear Sirs, —I ha?e pleasure in stating that the new cow bails you supplied arc giving every satisfaction. They aro easy to fix, and effect a great saving of time. I firmly believe if they were used continually for twelve months lligy would more than save their first eost. I can confidently recommend them to all dairymen. Wishing you every success, I am, faitlifully yours,—Kobeet Oiemow, Omata, ' Taranaki f Men's whole-back bluchers, nailed or plain, Is lid, Men's strong kip shooters 6s lid, youths strong chrome . school boots 8s lid at the Melbourne. 1 A'isit the great bargain corner for all ' I kinds of men's and women's footwear. ' —Advt. .
It is now well-known that Mr J. H Parker, of Devon-street, has disposed of-his jewellery business. A business announcement states that all goods are reduced 25 per cent, and over, but the, 1 bare announcement cannot do justice to the unprecedented value offering. Every article bears the old original price, off which the liberal discount is given. Early visitors will'secure the pick; in fact, it is essentially a case of the early, bird catches • the worm, and the worms in this case arc valuable m deed.—Auvt.
