IiEFEREES* ASSOCIATION. ■ The annual meeting of the South Taranaki Referees' Association was held at Hawcra on Tuesday night. The powor of the Association to examine intending referees was delegated to Mr Powdrell for the year. Mr E. A. Unviu was appointed secretary. The members of the Association were made an appointment committee. Mr Loos was appointed chairman for the year.

Tho Opunake Club wrote asking the co-operation of the Association in requesting the Union to publish an annual of the laws of the game.—lt was resolved to forward the letter to the Union.

The Opunake Club recommended Messrs F. Mason, W. Lambie, A. Good, and J. O'Dea as referees. Messrs J. Mooro and T. A. Blyth were recommended by Hawcra and Mr Campbell by Patca —lt was decided to accept thorn as members, subject to examination.

It was resolved, That the Association meet fortnightly, commencing one week before the Cup matches begin. On the motion of Messrs O'Sullivan and Powdrell, it was resolved to rccom« mend-to the Union that all grounds be roped off and that goal posts be made as high as possible. Other decisions were: To ask the Union to forward a list of the cup fixtures as soon as possible; to obtain copies of the rules for each member of the Association.—'< Hawera Star."
