TARANAKI EDUCATION BOARD.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the Taranaki Education Board was commenced on Tuesday evening. Present: Mr Jas Wade (chairman), Mrs Dougherty, and Messrs Maunder, .McDonald, Monkhousc, Faull, Morton, Adhun and Trimble.
Tho architect reported that the contractor, for the rc-inslatomcnt of the Stratford school was entitled to payment, and the additions to the Stratford residence woro woll advanced. The contract for the erection of a teacher's residence at Mahoc would be completed thjs week. Urenui school additions were almost completed.—Adopted. The chairman reported that Messrs Sladdeu and Palmer had been instructed to mako a survey of the New Plymouth Technical School site, and he had made progress payments as authorised.—Adopted. Mr Morton's report on tho necessity 'for. a new outhouse at Purangi was adopted, and tho Board authorised the erection of the place, al a cost not ex-' cecding' £:!.
