Acceptances ami General Entries dose at 8 run on Tiiuhsday, 29th March % Dclinilion of a Hack:—No horse shall start in any Hack L'ace which has at any time, prior to the time of entry, won a race of the value of £BO to the winner, or races of tile aggregate value of £2oo to the winner. The winner of any Hat race alter declaration of weights to carry a penalty of lOlbs; of two or more such races, lllhs; horses handicapped at jßst 71bs;or over, half the ahove penalies. ' - All entries to he sealed and addressed to the Secretary Manaia, with name, age, colour and pedigree of horse, name of owner, colours of the rider, and performances of the horses. Entries by wire must be continued in wriling at the earliest opportunity. All races to be run under the Hides of Racing as adopted by the Hacing Conference of New Zealand. Owners are particularly reminded that all entries must be accompanied by cash, cheque, or P.O. order. This rule will be strictly enforced. Only members of the Bookmakers' Association or Tattersall's will be permit led to ply their calling on the course on the day of the races, and they will be charged, a fee of Five Guineas for this privilege. Handicaps will appear in the "Tarnnalvi Daily News" on or about 7th April. Running events will be conducted under the rules of the Taranaki Athletic and Caledonian Society, and the cycling races under the New Zealand League of Wheelmen. All persons must be registered under the above rules before nominating. The Committee reserve the right to ■ postpone or alter the programme.
