TARANAKI JOCKEY CLUB, AUTUMN MEETING. The Autumn Meeting of the Tarauaki Jockey Club commences tomorrow, and will be concluded on Friday. Though the acceptances received are not so large as usual, most of tho even's appear open, and should provide some good racing. The majority of the visiting horses have now put iii an ippearaucc. The Auckland coutiun nt Takaro, Waipa aud Le Beau Were worked on the course yesterday. Seatoni.i is expected lo arrive from North to-d ty. Judging by the booking at the hotels and accommodation houses there will be the usual large
influx of visitors. The weather now shows a marked improvement, and there is every indication of the Club b;ing favoured with fine weather. The proprietors of the double event
totalisator were busily engaged yesterday in fixing up the machine, which is being put iu position on the lawn near the dividing fence, so that the midline will be in full view and accessible to those outside lis weil as inside the enclosure. The first event each day is timed to start ul noon.
The Tuianaki Jockey Club, nl a special meeting, decided to confirm the action of the [Stratford Racing Club in "cfiscjit;;Jifyiiig Ernest Hendry for the alleged palling of the horse Kiu'croa in the Borough Stakes at the recent Stratford meeting."
