AUCKLAND HARBOR WORKS.

At a meeting of the Harbor Board to-day tenders were opened for the construction in ferro-eoncrcte of the Queen street wharf, together with a now ferry jetty. Four tenders were received. The engineer's estimate was £BI,OOO without allowing for the increased cost of steel. The following are amounts of the tendors:- -Gummow and Forrest £118,331, McLean and Sons £84,487, Ferro Concrete Com pauy £82,296, Ncwsou and |Colson £79,774. Tenders were referred by the works and tariff committee.
