The employees have responded liberally, ami the Directors at a meeting heid las evening, niosl generously donaled an amount uf .till in ibis conuectioii. The case is an exceptionally sad one. The widow, who is in dci'u-il ■ health, is left almost penniless with lour young children, the eldest being ten year's ohl and the youngest thirteen .lays, and I feel certain that the case ~nlv requires to be brought before the'public lo receive a generous rc-ponsc.
