PLAGUE OUTBREAK.
Received 17,12.23 a.m. Svmney, March 10. Three more infectious cases of plague were reported to-day. The source qf iufectiou is similar to previous cuses.
MACHINERY IMPORTS.

A return of imports of machinery to the Commonwealth during last .year shows they were valued at iOO,OG7 ,000 sterling. Of this amount, L 331.000 was for harvesters and agricultural implements.

The information against Malouf, of heing a prohibited immigrant, was dismissed, the Magistrate holding that the time in whieh the educational tests should be applied had expired.

liobert Thomas Montague was arrested on a warrant charging him with leaving New Zealand with the property of his eredilors. The fiuperintendent of police produced & wire from the Sydney police to the effect that the New Zealand department was willing to place defendant in their hands. The matter was adjourned ponding instructions Iruru New Zealand.
