A DOMESTIC TRAGEDY.
FATHER SERIOUSLY' INJURED BY SON. Milt FltliSS ASSOCIATION. Auckland, March 10. A young man named George Hassett, aged l'J, was arrested to-night oti a charge of attempted murder of his father, Charles Hassett, an Imperial) and old age pensioner, 75 years of age. It is alleged that during a quarrel' between Hassett and bis wife, the son rushed into the room and discharged a pistol al his father. The bullet entered the side of I lie head just below tlie temple. The father is now in the hospital, and his condition is uncertain.
