SELECTION OF TEACHEKS. l'lili I'UKSS ASSOCIATION, "Weu.i.nuton, March 15. Mr Field, M.H.K., speaking at Levin last night, suggested that there was a /law in the Education Act of last session, and by it Education Boards were justified in their action with regard to the appointment of teachers. He said it was not (dear that it was obligatory (hat Hoards should submit six names to committees, and bolh the Wellington and Wauganui Hoards wore making appointments under Ihe old system. The Premier interjected: ".As Minister fur Education, I shall refrain from allowing salaries to bo paid in case of any appointments so made."
