The lowest Prohibitionist polled 5922, tho highest trade nominee 5151. Tho greatest interest was taken in the contest. The new Committee stands pledged to 10 o'clock licenses and the refusal of conditional licenses. This means no bar at the Exhibition. Stu.it lo up, March 11. The Licensing returns are not yet complete. Little interest was laken. A Moderate Committee will be reelected. M.uiton, March 11. The Licensing election for Manawalu resulted in the return of lour for No-License and one Independent. For liangitikci three Moderates aud two No-License nominees were returned I'Kii.niNii, March I I.
| There was great enthusiasm over the Licensing election. There were (en candidates, ei|iuilly representing the .Prohibitionist* and the Moderates. One Prohibitionist was elected, the remainder being Moderates, Wuoovii.i.ii, March 11. Prohibition secured four out of the live seats on the Licensing Committee. Da.vnuvihkk, March M.
