A HUMANE PROPOSAL. Bhishase, March 12. Bishop Frodsliam has submitted a scheme to the Government to provide that deported Kanakas should be sent to a special island and formed into an agricultural colony. The Bishop of Melanesia had informed him that such a colony could easily be formed at Fiji, in the Solomons, where already 100 Christian natives are settled, including many returned laborers from Fiji.
