At the Police Court to-day, John Sehischka, a local merchant, was committed for trial ou a ohnrge of imitating tile registered brand of the Gisborne Sheep Farmers Frozen Meal Company, Ltd., stamped upon the bugs containing bone, flesh,, and blood manure, inanufactured by that company. Evidence was given by llobcrt Smith, of Onchunga, that he ordered from defendant a certain uuinber of bags of Gisborne Company's manure, for which Schisckki was agent. When Ihe consignment was delivered, Snuth discovered tl,u Uw manure was erent Iroiu, and inferior to previous consignments. When spoken to oa the subject, Sehischka at first mainained that the manure was the Gis-. txirnc Company's, but he afterwards adv milted it was a substitute.
