Pitt, Hall-Jones, and Mills, General Babinglon and staff, A bright sun was shining, with u light left wind blowing across the range. Camcrou.Opuki; made the highest score, 37, at this range of the two sections, and holds the Kille Challenge Cup for a year. U'msladc, Hyde and Irvine 1 opened badly, while 'Moncrief, with 32 out of 35, had overtaken the leaders and looked like winning the belt, but missed his eighth and ninth shots. Irvine, meanwhile, had found the spot, and with 30, brought up his aggregate to 481, which gave him the belt. At the conclusion of the meeting Miss Seddon presented the trophies to the winners. Colonel Collins urged that next meeting be a Federal one, and that the Government grant be increased from £SOO to £IOOO with a view to attracting Australian marksmen. The Hon Hall-Jones thought a permanent camp should he erected here, permanent buildings being erected instead of tents.
