The matter wa> one in which the plaintiff brought an action for libel against the defendant.for publishing a certain advcrtisemcnl with relation to the Colonial Hank. Mr Bell, for the defendants, slated that regret at the publication of I lie advertisement had already been expressed in the columns of the paper, and a settlement had been arrived nl by defendants renewing their expres sion of that regret, and paying the costs.
