Fannin, who Ins been secretary to the llawke's Jl.iy Education Board for the past thirty years, has resigned that position, Mr Richie, Headmaster and DeputySuperintendent of Hcnshan's Asylum for the blind at Manchester, has been recommended by the High Commissioner and approved by the trustees, for the position of principal of the Jubilee Institute for the blind (Auckland), in succession to J. W. Tighe, whose connection with the Institute ceased some months ago.
