TWO STEAMERS ASHORE.
Beceived 5,1.0 a.m. Svdxiiv, March 1. The Norwegin steamer Thurdis, after partially loading at Newcastle, was proceeding lo Port Stephen to complete lier cargo of eoal for Manila, when she went ashore al the North Head in an exposed position. The holds are flooded, and it is feared the vessel wili beeomo 11 total wreck. The captain and a portiou of the crew were lauded, the remainder standing by. Beceived 5, I.G a.m. Bkisuine, March 1. A steamer, supposed to be the Claverton from Java to Newcastle, is ashore on the Barrier Beef ninety miles north of Cooktown. No details are to hand.
