A large and representative mcetiug to-night decided to form a North Island Horse Owners' Association, I'lie following officers wero oleeted: ['resident : Hon. J. D. Ormoud; Vice. Presidents: Newton king (New Ply. mouth), VV. J. Ralph (Auckland), J. H. Nixon (Waugauui), T. &. Lowry (tfawko's Bay), aud J. G. Duncan Wellington); Committee: W< Handley (Auckland) M. Mills (New Plymouth), D. Thompson (Mana. watu), W. Davics (Wellington), K J. Walt (Uawkc's Bay), J. Harding (tiisburiie), Izard (Wairarapa), P. Moore (Waugauui); secretary, C, MeMasters (Auckland); treasurer, J. H, Nixon (Wanganui). A majority of the objects siihiuilted in the draft wero carried. It was decided that the next meeting be held at the Thompson Handicap Meeting in Wellington.
