FEtt PBESB ASSOCIATION. Duneiiin, Fobruary 28. The Primate, Bishop Neville, recently asked Dr. Davies, Bishop of lloekhainpton, who has Buffered from the long exposure to heat, to take charge of the dioecsc of Dunedin, during the l'rimale's iibseueo in England. A reply has beon received that as the Bishop of Bockhampton becomes Act-iug-Primatc in Australia during the' absence of Hie Archbishop of Sydney, the invitation could not be accepted. The Primate has been asked to visit Tonga and Fiji on his way to the Home Couutvy and meet the church people there, with reference to their ecclesiastical position. The Primate has received from tho Governor a letter slating that His Excellency has received a despatch from the Secretary of State enclosing tho copy of a memorial sent by the Primate to the Archbishops of York and Canterbury respecting the Colonial Clergy Act, 1874, together with the reply sent by the Archbishop of Lord Elgin desires the Governor to inform the Primate that he has carefully considered the memorial but is unable to add anything to the reply sent to him by the Archbishop of Canterbury,
