Lo.vdox, February 25. 11l tlic House of Commons, Mr l!unciman (Under-Secretary), speaking on behalf of Sir Edward Grey (Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs), trusted that Port Arthur belonging to Japan, liad not affected the lease of Wei-hai «vci. No action was at present contemplated regarding the lease. Negotiations were proceeding regarding the terms of the Convention for China's adhesion to the Anglo-Thibetan Convention. It was not intended to alter the terms of the latter.
