He lias been brought up as a little vagabond, Dick (Miss Beatrice Hollow-ay), in company with another slr.ty child they had stolen, Wally (M.iliel Russell). Thornton and his wile meet again after Iho inIci'viil, and he endeavours to make reslitiilion, but (lie olhef son having run away, Ihe othei' hide vagabond, AVally, is substituted, and taken to their home. After this Dick goes through a lot of vicissitudes, and is eventually restored to his rightful home and parents. The interest aroused from the iirst is maintained all through the piece, mid the strong east, with the splendid sUWii". should at I rael a crowded house 0 tonight. Ihe company is a good one, the play world famous, and the details of scenic work and mechanical representations promise to be lavish in their splendour. The company are due to arrive this morning from Auckland, with Mr A. Cowan as manager for Mr Edwin Geach, under whose direction the New Zealand tour has been arranged.
