Al the Police Court Hi is morning, no less thai II cases of false pretences, involving sums ranging f rom J H t0 £6 ss, wore preferred against a youug man mimed William Alfred Nobe* alias king. Chief dcioetivo Marsack said (he charges were the result of a long series of false pretences, mainly by means of valueless cheques, and as it was necessary for many of them to be heard before a Magistrate, he would ask for a remand until Monday. Accused made no objection, and a remand was granted.
