ART GALLERY FOR WELLINGTON.
Mill I'HESS ASSOCIATION. WuiiLiNuioN, February 23. A meeting convened by the Mayor was held this evening to consider what steps should, be taken towards the establishment of a free Art Gallery in Wellington. The meeting passed a resolution pledging itself to raise sullieient funds to enable advantage to be taken of the Government's offer of a £SOO subsidy, and a committee was appointed to give effect to this resolution,
