DROWNING FATALITY.

Further particulars regarding Ike drowning of the young mini, Herbert Thomas, at Molutapii, show that he got. into a dinghy intending to row to a neighbouring vessel lo get bait. When some yards off he lost an oar, and plunged over to recover it. He caught it, and turned to swim back. Ho was plainly visible in the moonlight, when, to tho horror of his companions, he suddenly sank beneath the surface. As he did not rise again those on board set sail, and cruised round in the vicinity of the spot, but no sign of the unfortunate young man could bo seen, and, as he was an expert swimmer, they came to the conclusion that he had been seized by a shark. The missing man was employed on the meehauioal staff at His Majesty's Theatre, and his father is similarly employed with the Me M ahon Dramatic Company. Young Thomas was one of the Knight• Jeffries Company's most valued assistants.
