TARANAKI MAORI COUNTY COUNCIL ELECTION.
The polling for twelve members who are to constitute the above body for the ensuing three years took piace on Thursday at iiie Reserves Agent's ollicc at Hawcra. Mr T. W, Fisher, returning officer, has declared the follow iug duly elected, they having received the largest number of nominations:—
Wiremu Tupilo, of Pariroa. Wi Xgnpaki, of Whenualuira. Rima Whakarua, of Wailotara. Pooki Ngatau, o£ Matapu. Taitako Peere, of Waitara. Tulangi Waiouui, of Pariroa. Aotouga Tima, of Whenuakura. liahu Kuranui, of Manutalii, Hokinga Uangikrtitu, of Opunake. I'utaka Rua, of Hawcra. llaugi-irunga Meera, of Onacro. Turereao Kauika, of Pirauuui. 1 The following natives were also nominated but were not successfulTulaliuku 'fume, Hooue Taepa, Maui Ouekur.i, Raumati Haumakariri, Tubal a Teimana, Mana Tunic, and Whiliora l'aki.
