The Association confirmed the principle of the Pure Food Hill, to ensure special inspection of bread and to prevent its being kept in stores under proper sanitary conditions, A resolution was carried confirming the opinion of the Conference that all bakers and sellers of broad should be licensed. -lhc Finance Committee recommended, and the Conference adopted, that the annua! subscription of Ancklaud, Wellington, Christchurch, and Duuedin should bo CIO Ills, and all other unions i' 3 3s, but that the comluittee ask them lo pay i's os if possible in order to strengthen the funds of the Association and so obviate the necessity of soliciting donations and making levies.
_ Oil the motion of Mr White (Dunedin) it was resolved, "That the various Master 13 ikers' Unions in Xeir Zealand endeavour to arrange for the technical school in their districts to place the leaching of hr-":ufcuiaking on their syluhus, and that the Association assist the schools in obtaining competent teachers.
In regard to the weight of bread, it was resolved, "That [lie Conference considers that in addition to twist and roll baiTaeufa ami French (and any bread with any shortening in it) should be regarded as fancy bread." Hie delegates are being entertained at a social and dance this evening.
