The Police Commission is dragging along wearily. It closes to-day. It lias been responsible for a lot of dirty linen between ollicei's and men. A witness testified that he made an arrest, tor .sly-grog selling, but the prisoner was released at the station, while another witness denied misconduct and was afterwards informed by the Inspector that it was better for him not to sec too much, and that be wou.d then get on. Witness had found this to be good advice.
