At the Works Committee meeting on Thursday evening, tliei'e were present : His Worship Llie Mayor, Crs, Collis, Browne, Brooking, Kwmg, Hutchcn, Monteiitli, Wilson, mid Welisler. The Committee resolved 10 recommend to the Conn -il :

That Mr W. Perry, Mrs W. J. Shaw and the Bank of New Zealand he granted one month's extension of lime for connecting with [| K . Borough sewers;
That the District Health Ollicer be informed that the Council will lay a sewer in Hine-sfreet when its (inances permit; . That consideration of Mr Pycroft's report re horses impounded he deferred until after consideration of Cr Stohr's notice of motion on Monday night ; That the application of the Hurhor Board for the electric light at the 'harbor be referred to the Electric Light C'oinuiitte to report upon; That the report of the Town Clerk in connection with certain exchanges with the School Commissioners be referred to the licserves Committee ;
