Villi I'UIiSS ASSOCIATION". J TiJiuir, February 7. At the Supreme Court to-day, the last case on the calendar, a charge of infanticide, resulted in an acquittal on the ground of temporary lusanily. The young woman was refused sympathy by two married women, and was delivered in a elosel. She threw the body of the infant into a cess pit, and some days afterwards removed it, carried it some miles by train, and then threw it into a well. She was ordered to be kept in custody, pending the pleasure of the Colonial Secretary. Wkiuxcitox, February 7. The Chief Justice to-day imposed the following sentences: —Bobbery Michael Itegau, 18 mouth;}, Henry Ct. Quinn 22 months, William Courleuay 2 years; indecent assault, Allan Talbcrt U months.
