The lmarmg of the Seamen's dispute before the Arbitration Court came lo a close to-day, The ease has occupied the Court for 25 days in various parts of the Colony, and over 70 witnesses have been examined. The President, Mr Justice Chapman, intimated that Ihe award would be given shortly, lie remarked, that notwithstanding Ihe strenuous struggle made by the parlies in support of their respective interests, the best of spirit had been shown, and the ease had been conducted with conspicuous ability. In connection with (he friction in the clothing trade, it is probable a conference will lie held between the employers a Heeled, and representatives of the Tailoresscs' Cniou, m Ihe hope of securing a working arrangement.
