T. l'caeoeke, in ivhirh complainant claimed ihe sum of £22 10s for money lent to defendant. His Worship said : "»ln this case a fraud was commuted on tin 1 Licensing Committee, which issued a wholesale license to l'caeoeke, believing him to | be n bona liile applicant.

" Ehrman knew he could not obtain a license, having beou previously refused one. The whole thing was steeped in fraud. " Knowing Kltvmau to be in a tix, Peacocke took Advantage of his position, niul practically levied blackmail on him in order to perpetuate the fraud.
" I am of opinion the Court should not lend itself to assist either party The plaintiff will therefore be nonsuited, and no costs allowed to either party."
