TO THE EIiITOH. Silt,—l notice that the Australian squadron is now on its way to New Zealand His Excellency the Governor has decided to pay a visit to New Plymouth. Would it be possible for us to secure a warship in the roadstead when Lord Plunltet makes his first official call? Besides adding dignity to the occasion, the warship people could probably be induced to send ashore a couple of squads of bluejackets to assist in the military demonstration at the Garden Party, lo whose management committee the above suggestion is commended. Prompt action may get what we want in this matter.—l am, etc., Matkh.
