The primary idea is to enable the producers of butter and cheese to examine various samples of their liiibrniuled produce at the depot, and lo classify it according | 0 their idea of its quality, and then the same samples will be classed by (he Govern- , iiient grader, who will express his i' opinion on the samples, and explain his reason for awarding the points given, ; and Mr A. J. Kinsclla, the chief dairy-' ! ing commissioner, will be present, to--1 get her with several otherollicers of Ihe Department, and several important c|uestiuns relating to milk supply, and butter and cheese manufacture, will 1„. dealt with. The conference is likely to be highly interesting and educative, mid us a large number of factory managers, shareholders, and „,ilk suppliers have signified I heir intention of being presenl, il should, do much to stimulate the dairying industry in |] l( . right direction. One matter that will !«■ discussed is the project for giving (l prize for the highest points secured in grading by producers throughout the season. The A. and L>. Association , has the mailer in hand, and a committee . is making inquiries.
